Necessity in harmony with identity is what aptly goes for most bags in fashion. It is not just the content but, more importantly, what you carry is what symbolizes your personality. The kind of bag you choose reflects the kind of person you are. And if you are a woman, your fashion bag, which goes with your dress, creates an aura of beauty in perfection.

Different shops in Dhaka city sell elegant and stylish bags; some even have good collections of imported bags but international brands like Marks and Spencer, YSL, Gucci and Bottega Veneta are hard to come by and they are pretty expensive as well. Alternatively local designer bags are quite exquisite looking and they are relatively affordable.

Starting from ultra small purses to large handbags, there is a wide variety of bags for women to choose from. But your bag must match your attire. For example, you can carry a sleek clutch bag in the evening if you are wearing a dazzling gown, sari or salwar kameez. Bags hanging from the shoulder do not go with gorgeous saris.

You can get bags not only in different shapes and sizes but also in varied designs and fabrics. Leather, denim, silk and many other kinds of fabric are used to make bags but your selection should be such that the bag does not look cheap and ordinary. Bags may have luxury details and they can be printed, embellished and embroidered. Your color choice needs to be in keeping with the color of your dress but you can also create contrast between your dress and bag. The most common colors that match most dress are black, red and white.

For men, choice of bags is limited to wallets, professional bags, laptop bags, rucksacks, canvas bags and briefcases. While canvas bags and rucksacks are mostly suited to students, the professional line and the laptop bag are best for executives. Leather bags mostly black and brown in color compliment your masculinity.

When you are buying a bag, study the quality and the zipper carefully. Do not carry a bag that is heavy and uncomfortable. Your bag should ease your troubles and not add to them.
